Your Ithaca is what's referred to as a Flues Model, and was made in 1923.
They re NOT recommended for use with ANY modern shotshell ammo - since the gun was built to a different/lighter internal standard than later guns - AND ammo makers changed all shotshell loadings to a higher-pressure loadind in 1925/6.
Stay away from even so-called "low brass" and/or target loads - BUT, if a quaalified double gunsmith checks the tolerances as OK, special, low-pressure ammo is currently available from the likes of RST & PolyWad.
If your gun has this level engraving, it's a Grade 2 - less would be a Grade 1/Field grade
