Looks like a well worn No. 11D "Tournament" Grade that has had the checkering recut and some finish slapped on the stock. Also, at some point in time someone had a rear sight on it leaving those two holes filled with liquid steel on the back pf the receiver.

Actually, I dont think it is a Model No. 11. It doesn't have the lock screws on the big screw heads on either side of the receiver. I think it is a Remington Autoloading Shotgun in No. 4 quality. I can't quite read the serial number in your photos. What does it say on the barrel? Is it Remington Arms Co. (1910 or eqrlier) or is it Remington Arms - Union Metallic Cartridge Co. (1911 to 1920)?
